Google Chrome Update & Natterbox Webphone Fix

In Google Chrome version 129.0.6668.59, the Third-Party Partitioning flag has been removed. To address this, the Natterbox technical team implemented a fix for all organizations in June 2024, changing how the CTI and Webphone communicate within Salesforce.

If users experience the following symptoms, please instruct them to close the Webphone pop-up and clear their browser cache for "All Time."

Symptoms:

  • When launching the Webphone, the red dot over the headset icon remains visible, and the label "Launch Natterbox Webphone" does not disappear.

  • Upon initiating a call, the CTI displays the error: "Cannot answer the call on this device as your telephone connection is currently offline."

  • During a call, the keypad button in the CTI is missing.

Once logged back into Salesforce, the issue should be resolved.
