Here are some common reports you can build with digital objects.

Reports using Natterbox Interactions

Overall Stats

Number of Messages per Channel

  • Report type = Natterbox Interactions

  • Show Me: All natterbox interactions

  • Filter on a time field, e.g. Interval End Time = THIS WEEK, THIS MONTH…

  • Group by field: Channel

  • Add fields: All Messages, External Address, Internal Address, Interval Start Time, Interval End Time, Sender Type,

  • Add Chart:

    • Display as: Donut

    • Sliced By: Channel

    • Show Percentages [Check this box]

Reporting on Messages for This Month

If you want to know how many messages you have used from your agreed amount, this report will help you keep on top of it. Messages will appear in this report once the ‘interaction interval’ is complete. This is configured on the Account Settings, under ‘Messaging Settings’ > ‘Reporting Interval (Hours)’.

  • Report type = Natterbox Interactions

  • Show Me: All natterbox interactions

  • Filter on a time field, e.g. Interval Start Time = THIS MONTH

  • Filter on Sender Type = User, System

  • Add fields: Sender Type, Channel, All Messages

  • The value at the top under ‘Total All Messages’ is the amount of messages this month you will be billed for.


Messages Per Contact

Number of Messages Per Contact Interactions

  • Report type = Natterbox Interactions

  • Show Me: All natterbox interactions

  • Filter on a time field, e.g. Interval End Time = THIS WEEK, THIS MONTH…

  • Group by field: Contact

  • Add fields: All Messages, External Address, Internal Address, Interval Start Time, Interval End Time, Sender Type,

  • Optional (if you have multiple digital channels with Natterbox):

    • Group by Channel

Number of Messages Sent per Contact

  • Report type = Natterbox Interactions

  • Show Me: All natterbox interactions

  • Filter on a time field, e.g. Interval End Time = THIS WEEK, THIS MONTH…

  • Filter on Sender Type = Contact

  • Group by field: Contact

  • Add fields: All Messages, External Address, Internal Address, Interval Start Time, Interval End Time, Natterbox User, Contact

  • Optional (if you have multiple digital channels with Natterbox):

    • Group by Channel


User Reporting

Messages & Calls per User

  • Report type = Natterbox Interactions with Natterbox User

  • Make this into a joined report (see here for more on Salesforce’s Joined Reports)

  • Add a block with report type = Call Reporting with From Natterbox User

  • Add another block with report type = Call Reporting with To Natterbox User

  • Group all blocks by Natterbox User: Name

  • Label the first block (with report type = Natterbox Interactions with Natterbox User) “Messages”

  • Label the second block (with report type = Call Reporting with From Natterbox User) “Outbound Calls”

  • Label the third block (with report type = Call Reporting with To Natterbox User) “Inbound Calls”

  • Filter the first block like this:

    • Show Me: All natterbox interactions

    • Natterbox Interaction: Created Date = THIS WEEK, THIS MONTH… [whichever date range you want but this should match the other blocks]

    • Sender Type: User

  • Filter the second block like this:

    • Show Me: All call reporting

    • Natterbox Interaction: Created Date = THIS WEEK, THIS MONTH… [whichever date range you want but this should match the other blocks]

    • From Call Type = Connected [add this filter if you want only connected outbound calls)

    • Call Direction = Outbound

  • Filter the third block like this:

    • Show Me: All call reporting

    • Natterbox Interaction: Created Date = THIS WEEK, THIS MONTH… [whichever date range you want but this should match the other blocks]

    • Call Direction = Inbound

  • Click ‘Add Chart’

    • Display As: Column

    • X-Axis = Natterbox User: Name

    • Y-Axis =

      • Sum of All Messages

      • Outbound Calls - Record Count

      • Inbound Calls - Record Count


Keywords reporting

Contacts who Opted In

  • Report type = Natterbox Interactions

  • Show Me: All natterbox interactions

  • Filter on a time field, e.g. Interval End Time = THIS WEEK, THIS MONTH…

  • Filter on: Keyword Count (Opt In) = True

  • Group by field: Contact

  • Add fields: All Messages, External Address, Internal Address, Interval Start Time, Interval End Time, Keyword Count (Opt Out)
