21.5. PCI Digital / Pay by Link

PCI Digital is a payment workflow which allows for your customersto complete payments via a browser on their phone or desktop by simply using a link.

This is how a digital payment will flow for your customers :

1. Your agent will determine a payment is required and press Take Payment from Freedom or Start Secure Payment from Salesforce (depending on the integration you have configured)

1a. If you're using the standard integration your agent will then need to log into the PCI portal and create a secure connection

2. Your agent will be presented with a blank payment form which is will by default be in unconnected state

3. Your agent will need to copy the link from the UI and send this to the customer (via SMS, WhatsApp, Email etc)

4. Once the Customer has opened the link the connection will be made secure and they will see the words Cardholder Connected

5. The agent should then inform the customer to populate their payment details

Note the Agent will still be able to see these updates in realtime to see where the customer has got up on the form :

6. Once the customer is happy that their details are correct from their side they can press the option Pay to complete the payment, at which point the agent will see whether or not the payment was successful

7. Finally the customer has the option to forward themselves a receipt of the transaction by submitting an email address
