- Navigate to the Routing Policies tab.
- Click ‘New’ in the top right of the screen.
- You will see a screen like the image below and you will need to fill in several details.
- Type: There are 2 options and for each type there are different apps and containers available.
- Call = This is used for routing calls and is the most common type of policy
- Data Analytics = Pick this policy if you need the Debug app.
- Name: This must be unique, maximum 64 characters and can contain any combination of numbers, letters, spaces and symbols.
- Description: This is optional but can be used to help others understand your routing policy setup, how policies interact within each other and the purpose of a policy.
- Connector Type: This is an aesthetic choice and has no functional difference
- Smooth = The lines between containers are curved
- Manhattan = The lines between containers are perpendicular
- Import Mode: Here you can import policies you have previously exported, see Restoring a policy section below.
- Done and then Save: Make sure to click ‘Done’ on the initial tab and then ‘Save’ on the routing policy or your new routing policy will not appear on your ‘All Policies’ list.
