Purpose: Acts as the START entry point for calls that arrive from a customer's SIP trunk, so that traffic can be handled by a routing policy.

Note: The From SIP Trunk container is an advanced feature intended for SIP trunk integrations. It is not relevant to most customers and is typically configured by Natterbox during onboarding.
Use cases
Enable a customer's on-premise PBX to make outbound calls through the Natterbox platform over a configured SIP trunk.
Route calls arriving from a trusted SIP trunk IP address into a Call policy for onward connection.
Configuration
Before this container will work, SIP Trunking must be configured in the Portal under the organisation's SIP Trunking settings. The IP address the customer sends traffic from must be added to the Trusted IPs section, otherwise the platform will reject the traffic.
To build the policy, create a new policy in the Portal and begin it with a From SIP Trunk container. Connect this to a Connect Number component with the dial type set to User Requested Number, in the same way as a standard outbound setup. For the full end-to-end setup, including inbound gateways and routes, see the SIP Trunks Set Up guide.
These setups are usually configured by the Natterbox Professional Service team.
