How to Clear a Cache

Article summary

The majority of CTI issues can be resolved by simply clearing the browser's cache. Before contacting Natterbox Support, please ensure that this has been done.

Chrome

  • In the top right of the browser, select the Tools button
  • Select History
  • Select Clear browsing data...
  • From the Options
    • Make sure Cached Images and Files is selected (it should be by default)
    • Within Obliterate the following items from: select The beginning of time (older information in the cache can cause problems)
    • Click Clear browsing data
  • Log back into Salesforce to complete the process

Microsoft Edge

  • In the top right of the browser, Click the 3 dots and select the History
  • Click the Bin icon 
  • Change the time range to All Time and tick Cookies and other site Data & Cache Images and files.
  • Press Clear now and all browser windows & tabs will refresh  
  • Log back into Salesforce to complete the process

Internet Explorer

  • In the top right of the browser, select the Tools button
  • Select Internet options
  • Within the General tab, under Browsing history, select Delete...
  • From the Options
    • Make sure Preserve Favorites website data is NOT selected, but Temporary Internet files, Cookies and History ARE selected
    • Click Delete
  • Log back into Salesforce to complete the process

Firefox

  • In the top right of the browser, select the Open menu button
  • Select History
  • Select Clear Recent History...
  • From the Options
    • Within the Details section (this may need to be expanded by clicking the down arrow), make sure Cache is selected (it should be by default)
    • Within Time range to clear: select Everything (older information in the cache can cause problems)
    • Click Clear Now
  • Log back into Salesforce to complete the process
