How to setup a yealink purchased elsewhere

Prev Next

In this guide, we will discuss how to set up a Yealink desk phone that was not acquired from Natterbox. Keep in mind that any device bought from Natterbox will already be set up for you, and all you need to do is connect it to power.

You will need to create a new device, see the section dedicated to it here under ‘Creating a new device’ on this article.

Once you have configured the device, select it from the devices tab to locate your device's Extension and your organization's Domain. The Extension is the unique 5-digit number assigned to this device. This will be specific to your organization, consisting of the first four letters of the company name followed by the ORGID xxxx-xxxxxx.sip.natterbox.com. For instance, if your company is named ‘Example LTD’ and has the ORGID (Organization ID) of 5100, the address would be exam-005100.sip.natterbox.com.

Once this is complete now is the time to plug in your Yealink phone. When this is done and the phone has finished installing we will need to get the IP address of the phone, to get this press the OK button on the phone. This will bring up the following:

IPv4:

MAC Address:

Firmware:

The phone's IP address would look like the following, 192.168.x.xxx. Open an internet browser, Firefox, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer etc. and enter the IP address into the search bar and search. Once this is done this would look like the following;
