Supported Hardware

This page provides guidance on which Desk Phones, Softphones, Routers and Firewalls, etc. have been tested with the Natterbox service. In many cases, further guidance is provided on how these items should be configured to work correctly with the service.

What could work?

The Natterbox Voice Platform has been designed to operate in as standardised a way as possible in order that as many devices from different manufacturers can be supported. Devices include such items as Phones (both Softphones and Desk Phones), Routers and Firewalls. Whilst the majority of devices work correctly, some do have particular requirements when it comes to configuration to work with the service, furthermore, some devices may not be able to support all elements of the service.

In addition to those devices that are known to work with the service, this section also highlights, for avoidance of doubt, those devices that definitively do not work. If a device is not listed, Natterbox is unable to make any guarantees on correct operation or configuration.

Please note carefully the following Compatibility Status for each device. Natterbox Support only formally provides support for those devices listed as "Supported".

• Supported

Natterbox support has a detailed understanding of these phones and have attended dedicated training provided by the manufacturer. When used with a Natterbox reference network, Natterbox will provide full support SLA’s for these products.

• Best Efforts

The majority of Natterbox support staff have knowledge of these products. Examples of these devices are installed in the Natterbox Support Centre for troubleshooting. However, Natterbox knowledge is not as in depth as supported devices and Natterbox cannot guarantee to fix issues with these devices. In these cases, Natterbox support will recommend upgrading to supported phones or hardware

• Limited

Some Natterbox support staff have had knowledge of these products. However, this may not be up-to-date and Natterbox do not have copies of these devices in the support centre for easy testing and troubleshooting. While the Natterbox service has been seen to work on these devices, Natterbox will not be able to troubleshoot issues and the recommended course of action will be to upgrade to supported phones or hardware

• Not Compatible

Either known to not work with the Natterbox service or exhibits issues that can cause erratic behaviour

SIP Phones

The Natterbox platform is configurable with a vast number of SIP phones. Yealink handsets are sold and remotely provisioned by Natterbox and therefore fully supported. Other handsets may be configured but Natterbox reserve the right to not support these handsets.
